Bounties and Campaigns

Last updated Oct 12, 2026100% grounded

Overview

Bounties and campaigns are performance-based incentive tools that help you drive creator and partner engagement within your partner program. By setting up targeted bounties, you can reward partners with commissions or bonuses when they complete specific tasks, hit performance milestones, or achieve verified engagement metrics on social media platforms.

This guide covers how to create, manage, and track performance bounties, submission-based tasks, social metrics synchronization, and campaign workflows.

Key Concepts

To effectively use bounties and campaigns, it helps to understand the core structures and terms used across the platform:

ConceptDefinition
Bounty TypeThe category of bounty. Supported types: performance, submission.
Performance ScopeDefines whether milestone tracking evaluates new metrics or lifetime stats.
Submission StatusThe workflow state of a partner entry. Supported statuses: draft, submitted, approved, rejected.
Start ModeHow a bounty's active window begins. Supported modes: absolute (fixed calendar date), relative (duration after enrollment/start).
Submission FrequencyHow often partners can submit proof or repeat a bounty task. Supported frequencies: day, week, month.
Rejection ReasonThe categorized rationale if a submission is declined. Supported reasons: invalidProof, duplicateSubmission, outOfTimeWindow, didNotMeetCriteria, other.
Social PlatformsSupported external channels for automated metric verification. Supported platforms: youtube, tiktok, instagram, twitter, linkedin.

Creating and Managing Bounties

Bounty Creation Guide

You can configure and oversee performance bounties directly from your program management dashboard using the steps below:

  1. Navigate to your program's dashboard and select Bounties.
  2. Click Create bounty to open the bounty configuration panel.
  3. Select the bounty type:
    • Performance: Automatically rewards partners for reaching quantifiable goals (such as clicks, leads, sales, or total commissions).
    • Submission: Rewards partners upon completing a manual task or providing required proof (such as a text description, file upload, or link).
    • Social metrics: Rewards partners based on verified social engagement milestones (such as views or likes).
  4. Configure the duration, reward amount, target audience groups, and partner tags.
  5. Save and publish your bounty to make it live for eligible program participants.

Tip

You can restrict bounties to specific partner groups or partner tags to target high-performing creators or tiered affiliate segments.

Social Metrics and Content Verification

Platform Rules and Sync Mechanics

For bounties that require social media engagement, the platform automatically syncs content metrics and verifies creator compliance according to specific platform rules:

  • Supported Platforms: youtube, tiktok, instagram, twitter, linkedin
  • Supported Metrics: views, likes (availability varies by platform)
  • Automated Syncing: Background jobs periodically query platform analytics for active submissions to update view counts and like counts.
  • Milestone Payouts: Bounties can include incremental bonus milestones (e.g., earning a bonus for every additional tier of views reached).
  • Automatic Completion: Once a submission's live metric count meets or exceeds the target criteria, the submission transitions to a completed state and notifies the partner automatically.

Warning

Social metrics cannot be manually synced or updated after a bounty has officially ended or after a submission has already been fully approved or rejected.

Tracking Partner Progress and Submissions

Submission Workflow and Lifecycle

Enrolled partners can view available bounties, track their personal progress in real time, and submit proof through their partner portal or embedded referral views following this lifecycle:

  • Drafts: Automatically created for lifetime performance bounties or started by partners when working toward a goal.
  • Submitted: Proof or social URLs have been provided and meet the threshold criteria awaiting final verification.
  • Approved: Verified by program administrators or automated criteria checks, generating an associated commission reward.
  • Rejected: Declined due to criteria mismatch, duplicate entries, or invalid proof.
