Connecting custom domains and configuring branding allows you to use your own domain name for short links, partner program pages, and email communications. Instead of sharing generic links, your brand takes center stage, increasing trust and click-through rates.
Depending on your needs, you can connect a custom domain you already own, use a fast testing subdomain, or claim a free domain included with your plan. This guide explains how to connect domains, verify ownership through DNS settings, set up automatic configuration, and forward instructions to technical team members.

If you are on the Free plan, certain branding features such as custom QR code logos, default expiration URLs, not found URLs, Asset Links, Apple App Site Association, and Deep View require upgrading to a Pro plan or higher.
Once your domain is added, you need to configure your Domain Name System (DNS) provider to point your domain to the software and verify ownership.
Depending on whether you are using a root domain (apex domain like yourbrand.com) or a subdomain (links.yourbrand.com), you will need to configure either an A Record or a CNAME Record:

If automatic configuration is not supported by your DNS provider, set the records manually in your DNS host's dashboard using the values provided in your domain settings page. A verification TXT record may also be required to confirm your domain ownership.
