## Overview

Welcome to Dub! This guide will help you get started quickly by walking you through creating your account, navigating the platform, and generating your first attributed short link.

Dub is a modern link management and marketing attribution platform designed to help you create branded short links, track conversions, and manage partner programs all in one place.

## 1. Create an Account

To begin using the platform, you need to sign up and configure your workspace.

1. Navigate to the registration page to create your new account.
2. Choose your account type to tailor your experience:
   - **For brands**: Manage partner programs, generate links, and track performance and payouts in one central location.
   - **For partners**: Discover partner programs, share referral links, and track your earnings.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your workspace name and complete your initial configuration.

> After completing your workspace setup, you can access your central dashboard at any time to oversee your projects and short links.

## 2. Navigate the Platform

Once you log in, your workspace dashboard serves as the central hub for all your link management and marketing needs.

- **Links**: Create, edit, and organize your short links, view click counts, and manage link-specific settings.
- **Analytics**: Monitor real-time performance data, including clicks, geolocation, device details, and referrer information.
- **Settings**: Configure your custom domains, team member permissions, tracking scripts, and billing options.

## 3. Generate Your First Attributed Short Link

You can create short links directly from your dashboard or via supported integrations. Follow these steps to generate your first link:

1. Go to your workspace dashboard and navigate to the **Links** section.
2. Click the button to create a new link.
3. Enter your **Destination URL** (the target web page you want users to visit).
4. Optionally enter a custom **Short key** (the custom back-half of your link). If left blank, a secure, unique identifier will be automatically generated for you.
5. Save the link to generate your fully functional, trackable short link instantly.

> All newly created links automatically support click tracking and attribution out of the box, allowing you to measure engagement immediately.
